The work involves installing netting to hold back 1,700m2 of rock and 277ml of dynamic barriers to avoid large rocks falling around the plant.
To construct the platform, 14,000m2 of earth and rock was moved, and a 1,270m2 reinforced concrete wall with rock-imitation finish was built and supported by 1,500m of micro piles, 4,200m of anchoring and 500m of drains, resulting in a 4,000m2 platform.
Once the work was finished, the area was revegetated with native species collected before the work began and kept in a nursery built next to the site.
