The renovation of the existing Petavit Snow Factory building included the demolition of the old facilities and the construction of a new building with an underground floor for water tanks and the pump room, a ground floor for the transformer station, workshops, compressor room and changing rooms, and a mezzanine with offices and a dining room.
The building is constructed with a metal and wooden frame, with a prefabricated exterior envelope clad with stone and covered with prefabricated panels. These are pioneering materials in the Andorran construction industry.
The project lasted 7 months, so that the challenge of having the artificial snow-making system ready for the 2017–2018 ski season was fulfilled.
